Abstract

The library is an asset for a country which is a means to improve the quality of the nation's generation. Libraries function in supporting education. Ponorogo Muhammadiyah University is a university that has an A-accredited library, but the service system still uses the old method, namely the QR barcode and the existing system in library services has not been integrated with SIMTIK (Academic Information System) Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. From these problems, it is necessary to update technology in the automatic library service system by borrowing and returning books using RFID which can be integrated with SIMTIK. This system was created with the aim of making it easier to borrow and return books using RFID and make it easier for students to see the dependents of the books they borrow. In this study, the system was built using a knowledge-based rule-based algorithm to be applied to programming. System testing is carried out to determine the results of the suitability of the tool to answer existing problems. The system testing is done manually and uses the white box method and produces data in the form of values ​​and system validation with a previously formulated workflow. This system runs with an average speed performance of 1.60 seconds. The sticker tag reading is more responsive and has a reading difference of 1cm from the card tag. Whitebox tested systems produce appropriate validation. This system is also tested for algorithms manually and produces validation according to the required system performance.
