Abstract

The development of science and technology today encourages elements of education providers to take advantage of the results of technology in the implementation of learning. Audio-visual media is a modern media that is in accordance with the times and the direction of its renewal is very significant. There are two elements that unite, namely audio and visual. The audio element allows students to be able to receive learning messages through hearing, while the visual element maximizes learning messages through pictures, especially in science learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the use of audio-visual media in science learning to improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students at MI PSM Walikukun Bangunrejo Sukorejo Ponorogo. The research method used in this study was qualitative. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The object of this research is the sixth grade students of MI PSM Walikukun Bangunrejo Sukorejo Ponorogo with a total sample of 17 students from a total population of 80 students. The data were analyzed using 3 assessments, namely assessment of exercises and tests, assessment of learning completeness and assessment of student activity data in learning. and learning mastery which increases every meeting, namely from the first meeting by 29% completeness, the second meeting 71% complete and increasing at the third meeting to 88% of students declared complete in learning.
