Abstract
Attendance is attendance data that shows someone is at an event. Attendance data is very important as an evaluation of attendance data. The attendance system makes it easy to synchronize attendance with the time of the activity. In the cadre training the attendance process has used QRCode technology stored in the card case. However, QRCode cards that are stored in the card case for too long will have the potential to become scattered and damaged. The solution to this problem can be to apply the reed solomon algorithm, because the reed solomon method has the ability to correct the error rate. This study focuses on the encoding and decoding process to determine the effect of reading performance on QRCode on error correction. Aims to determine the level of error correction that can affect reading performance based on the condition of the QRCode card. So that it can generate a QRCode that is suitable for the training attendance system. Testing of the training attendance system with a total of 10 QRCode cards in the IDCard card case. Testing the first QR Code with sufficient light conditions of 156-298 lux, low light conditions of 6-7 lux on the QRCode in the id-card. The next test uses 2 LK1 attendance android applications and a scanner application with crossed out conditions. In addition, testing is carried out by measuring the speed of reading for damaged and normal QRCode conditions. From these tests, the reading performance is based on the error correction level. While the results of the comparison use 2 types of applications, namely the attendance system application that is able to read 6/5 of the number of tests. On the scanner camera is able to read 6/2 reads of the number of tests. Then the results of the read speed show for severe conditions 2-5 minutes, not broken 0.5 to 1 second. So that in this study the use of reed solomon on the effect of reading performance with the error correction level of qr-code readings can be applied properly.
