Abstract

Parental tutoring is learning activities that include providing learning motivation, assisting in learning difficulties, providing learning tools, and supervising children in learning. While learning outcomes are abilities that will be obtained when they have followed the learning process at school and are presented in the form of numbers or test scores. Researchers chose SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bungkal District as the research site. The research in this thesis aims to determine the effect of parental tutoring on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bungkal sub-district. This research is a quantitative research with an ex post de facto and survey approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 20 students. The instruments used in data collection are questionnaires and documentation. This study uses simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Based on the results of the study using data analysis tests, it can be concluded that parental tutoring on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bungkal sub-district has a significant effect. The effect of parental tutoring on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bungkal sub-district is 23.4%
