Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the effect of individual characteristics of students in the form of Idealism, Ethical Learning and Religiosity to Students' Ethical Sensitivity. Independent variable in This research is Idealism, Ethical Learning, and Religiosity, while the dependent variable is Student Ethical Sensitivity. This study uses a quantitative approach that emphasizes testing theories through measuring research variables with numbers. The sampling technique used by the research is purposive sampling technique. The data taken to conduct this research is primary data with using a questionnaire instrument. The population in this study is all S1 Accounting student at Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo with active students as many as 205 students. While the sample in this study as many as 123 respondents. The analysis prerequisite test includes validity test, reliability test, coefficient of determination test, t test (partial), and f test (simultaneous). Data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is multiple linear regression analysis. Partially, the results of this study indicate that ;(1) Idealism has a positive and significant effect on Student Ethical Sensitivity. This shows that students who have high idealism then when confronted with a case that violates ethics will tend to provide a more assertive perception or assessment. (2) Ethical Learning positive and significant effect on Student Ethical Sensitivity. Thing It shows that students who have studied ethics education believed or assumed to have known good things compared to students who have not studied ethics education. (3) Influential religiosity positive and significant to the Ethical Sensitivity of Students. That matter shows that a student who has a high religious level higher and make religion the main factor of their lives tend to have a concern for higher ethical standards, discipline, and responsible. Meanwhile, simultaneously, idealism, learning Ethics, and Religiosity have a significant effect on Ethical Sensitivity Student.
