Abstract
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) Efforts to instill religious literacy through Islamic studies of the traveler's community in Ponorogo City. (2) The results of efforts to instill religious literacy through Islamic studies of the traveler's community in Ponorogo City. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors in efforts to instill religious literacy through Islamic studies of the traveler's community in Ponorogo City. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods and data collection using interview techniques, documentation. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Efforts made in inculcating religious literacy, namely: a) Carrying out religious activities carried out by all Members and Management through studies every week and supported by follow-up in religious cultivation, b) The efforts made by the management in directing and guiding in the cultivation of religious literacy to the fullest, c) The management provides pleasant examples and advice to cadres, d) The management provides good facilities to cadres so as to facilitate the process of Islamic study activities such as consumption, e) The coaches as parents must always provide explanations, advice, direction and guidance to administrators and seniors who teach various religious values. (2) The results of the cultivation of religious literacy through Islamic studies are: a) The loss of bad habits carried out by all members and administrators before getting to know Islamic studies, b) Awareness of Muslim women members of the obligation to wear the hijab and cover their genitals, c) Awareness of all members and administrators of the traveler's community in carrying out the five daily prayers, d) The ability to read the Qur'an of cadres has begun to increase, e) Awareness of all members of the traveler's community in distinguishing right and wrong, f) Adab and morals displayed cadres in society has increased. (3) Supporting factors in inculcating religious literacy through Islamic studies are internal factors and external factors, including: builder or management factors, facilities, community environment. The inhibiting factors faced are: motivational factors that exist in the individual, unable to manage time optimally, and the environment. Keywords: Literacy, Religion, Islamic studies.
