Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 comes with an emphasis on automation and digitalization between industry players and information technology. All agencies are vying to go digital. The judiciary is no exception, especially at the Military Court III-13 Madiun. Previously, case files were printed on paper. However, after the presence of the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP), the business process changed. In addition to having to be printed on paper, case files must also be uploaded to the SIPP application, thus requiring them to be converted into digital files. One of the concerns in handling digital files is the security and integrity of the data. Is this document correct from the original sender? Is it true that the contents of the document have not been changed by an irresponsible person? In this thesis, the application of a digital signature in the form of AES encryption technique will be carried out on the decision file produced by the Judge. The goal is that the file is safe from hacker attacks and its contents cannot be changed by irresponsible persons, so that the integrity of the data is guaranteed. System testing is done by comparing the plaintext and ciphertext generated by the application. In the tests that have been done, it can be seen that when we open the ciphertext with the notepad application, the result is a collection of letters, random symbols that are impossible for humans to understand. This proves that using this application can secure documents properly and it is impossible for hackers to read and replace their contents.
