Abstract
In Indonesia blacksmith craftsmen have been around for decades. This skill has been passed down from generation to generation until now. Kiping Village, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency is one of the villages where the majority of the population work as blacksmith craftsmen. Products that can be produced include agricultural tools. A problem is formulated, namely how to design a blacksmith's furnace that meets the criteria of ease of use, low cost of manufacture and ease of maintenance of a blacksmith's furnace. A furnace is produced which has dimensions of 1,500 mm in length, 350 mm in width and 722 mm in height. and the blower used is a large snail blower with a size of 2.5 inches using 2.50 mm, voll 220 v, frequency 50/60 Hz, speed 3000/3600 rpm, amperage 1.0 A, 150 watts green color blower size 20 cm x 18 cm x 20 cm, the designed blacksmith furnace is able to increase production capacity and cut space for operation, this tool is able to increase the amount of 2.5 – 3%, the time for burning. For iron, this 10 minutes depends on the charcoal and the thickness of the material used, for a more even burning result than a manual tool so it can reduce the burning time of the work
