Abstract
Dyslexia is a condition in which a person experiences difficulties (especially) in areas related to learning abilities such as reading, writing and arithmetic or matters relating to numbers. This condition is not in accordance with the abilities expected of people with normal chronological age and intelligence abilities or IQ (quality of intelligence). Some parents think that their children do not have dyslexia and think that their children are just a little retarded. Although developmental delays at an age that has entered its period can be considered as a disorder, one of which is dyslexia. This is also related to the problem raised in this study, where ordinary parents do not know about the condition of their children who have the possibility of experiencing dyslexia. It is also related to the conditions at the research site which still group dyslexia into one in general without any grouping according to the type of dyslexia experienced. Therefore, a platform created as an expert system using the Certainty Factor method is of course with the aim of helping parents to find out whether their child has dyslexia and to find out what type of dyslexia the child is experiencing. Types of dyslexia that will be included in this study include surface dyslexia, phonological dyslexia, rapid naming deficit, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. Which of the types of dyslexia will be the result of the user's selection of symptoms in the system.
