Abstract
ABSTRACT The development of the Ngebel Lake tourism object is the authority possessed by the Ponorogo Regency Government, in this case the Ponorogo Regency Youth and Sports Culture Tourism Office has a very vital role in the development of the Ngebel Lake tourism object, especially the Development of Fountains. This study intends to determine the role of the agency in developing the tourism sector, especially in the construction of the Fountain which is located in Ngebel Village, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency. In this study using a descriptive qualitative method that is used to describe problems that are happening now or are ongoing. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this study illustrate the role of the agency in the construction of the Fountain at the Ngebel Lake tourist attraction. The construction of the Ngebel Lake tourism object does not necessarily only involve the construction of a Fountain, but there are several developments that will be carried out such as: the construction of stands, docks and the provision of ships to support existing facilities at the Ngebel Lake tourist attraction. This is done in order to increase visitor comfort. The construction of a fountain at the Ngebel Lake tourist attraction has had a very positive impact. The number of visitors who have increased significantly can increase local revenue and increase the income of the surrounding community. The construction of the Fountain also has a negative impact in the form of the relocation of MSMEs, which are usually in front of the Fountain location, shifting backwards. In addition, the impact of the construction of the Fountain is the accumulation of garbage. There are several obstacles in the construction of the Fountain starting from human resources, weather and the synergy of each OPD to improve the existing infrastructure.
