Abstract

In today's technology the use of motorcycles continues to increase many, the need for transportation equipment never runs out because it is very helpful in daily activities and routines. So people tend to be more choosing a motorcycle as the main means of transportation because it is considered more fast, economical and effective. Motorcycles based on the carburetor system have changed with motorcycles based on electronics or Fuel Injection (FI). ECU is stands for Engine Control Unit only found in existing vehicles has the latest technology or the Fuel Injection (FI). To increase engine mechanism, ECU settings are very important, so that engine performance can optimally increased. Mapping on the ECU is very important and influential on the performance of the Fuel Injection (FI) engine, especially in terms of power, engine performance can be perfected by doing the right mapping process because of This process can certainly produce perfect torque and engine power. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of ignition timing against torque, power and exhaust emissions with standard timing and influence Ignition timing of torque, power and exhaust emissions with variations in timing 30, 60, 90. This study uses a Dynamometer (Dynotest) to determine torque and power, Gas Analyzer tool to determine gas emissions throw it away. From all the tests that have been done, the average is obtained highest torque at Timing 60 with a torque of 13.11 N.m at 6000 RPM. Results highest power test at Timing 60 with 11.90 HP at 7000 RPM. The exhaust emissions produce CO (0.28%), HC (85 ppm), and CO2 (9.0%) which is getting smaller, while O2 (7.17%) is getting bigger so gas emissions waste more environmentally friendly
