Abstract
Nashikhatun Mahmudah. 2023. Internalization of Pancasila Student Profile Values in Forming Islamic Character in Seventh Grade Students at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo. Thesis of Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag., (II) Dr. Aldo Redho Syam, M.Pd.I. The need for morality and religiosity education for the millennial generation needs to be improved. This can be seen from the attitude and behavior of students towards their elders, as well as some cases that occur among students. Islamic character is very important and needs to be instilled early, because it is the foundation of the nation. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture on the Pancasila student profile launched to perfect character education in students. Islamic character can be formed through the process of internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile so that a person who acts as a kamil person is formed, able to distinguish between right and wrong. This study aims to determine the process of internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character, the results of internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character, as well as the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, data presentation uses descriptive methods in the form of narrative text obtained from the observed subjects, namely: Principal, Vice Principal of Curriculum, Driver Teacher, and Students. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo. The results of the research at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo include the following: 1) The process of internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character is carried out through the value transformation stage, by providing direction and advice on which values are good and bad; the value transaction stage, by conducting two-way communication between students and teachers to convince students; the value internalization stage, with habituation and project-based learning. The strategies used are exemplary, habituation, monitoring, reward and punishment. 2) The results of internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character are quite significant, students build character in themselves in the form of religious character, independence, environmental care and social care, and responsibility. 3) Supporting factors for internalizing the value of the Pancasila student profile in shaping students' Islamic character include the school system, good cooperation between teachers, a good school environment, adequate facilities and infrastructure, support from student guardians and school committees. While the inhibiting factors are the varying conditions of students, the lack of balance between the school environment and the home environment.
