ABSTRACT Wahyusi, Hana Dinul Qayimmah. 2023. Responsible Character Cultivating Model Class III Student Answers Through the 1 Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. Thesis. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Advisor, Dr. H. Nurul Iman, Lc, M.HI. and Dr. Wahyudi Setiawan, M.Pd.I. Keywords: Responsible Character, 1 Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement The school culture at the Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo Integrated Islamic Elementary School called the 1 Meter Radius Garbage Pickup Movement is seen as effective and successful in being used to instill the character of responsibility in students. This activity is carried out routinely by all school members and becomes a good habit that is embedded in all school members, especially students. This study aims to describe: (1) A model for instilling the character of responsibility for third-grade students through the 1-Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. (2) The results of the model for instilling the character of responsibility for class III students through the 1-Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for the model of instilling the character of responsibility for third-grade students through the 1-Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation with data sources: Principals, class III teachers, and class III students of Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is done using triangulation. The results of this study are: (1) A model for instilling the character of responsibility for class III students through the 1-Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo by carrying out the 1-Meter Radius Garbage Pickup Movement activities every day, the teacher gives an example to students , and the coaching model is carried out by establishing communication. (2) The results of the model for instilling the character of responsibility for class III students through the 1 Meter Radius Garbage Collection Movement at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo obtained that students have a habit of applying the character of responsibility to themselves, the environment, school, family, and the community by carrying out existing regulations, not violating the regulations, and when they see trash within a radius of 1 meter around them students throw it in the trash that has been provided with their own awareness. (3) Supporting factors are the existence of school regulations, SOP, the availability of trash bins, the environment, and the Communication Book as an evaluation tool. The inhibiting factors are the absence of strict sanctions, weak self-awareness, cleaning tools that are often lost, the environment, and the lack of trash cans at student gathering points such as shaded areas.
