Abstract

Broiler chickens are a popular source of animal protein in the community because they are cheaper than other sources of animal protein and are easily available in the market. However, the price of broiler chickens often fluctuates. This is influenced by changes in operational costs incurred by breeders in one harvest period. In determining the selling price of broiler chickens, breeders need a careful calculation taking into account the factors that affect the ups and downs of the selling price. Because the selling price determines the success or failure of the goods offered in the market. In this study, an inference system was built by applying the Tsukamoto fuzzy method as a solution to the problem of determining the selling price of broiler chickens. Tsukamoto's fuzzy method was chosen because it is flexible, can solve problems that have an uncertainty value and perform linguistic reasoning. The variables used in this study are the price of chicks, the number of chickens, the cost of feed, the cost of electricity, and the wages of workers with the output being the selling price. The system is built based on a website using PHP language and MySQL database. Testing was carried out using white box testing on the Tsukamoto fuzzy algorithm which has been implemented into the inference system for determining the selling price of broiler chickens and the result was that the algorithm was running correctly on the system. The results of the selling price from the system calculation also have the same value as the results of the selling price which is done through the manual calculation method. So that this research can be used as a recommendation in determining the minimum selling price of broiler chickens by breeders.
