Setyaningrum, Krista Alifa, 2023. Increasing Students' Critical Thinking through Implementation of Literacy Corner. Thesis for the S1 Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education. Advisor (I) Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag and Supervisor (II) Dr. Aldo Redho Syam, M.Pd.I Keywords: Critical Thinking, Literacy Corner, Students. The progress of the 21st century has had an effect on the development of education in Indonesia. Competence possessed by students needs to be improved to respond to this. One of the students' abilities that need to be improved is critical thinking. Increasing this competency can be done through the implementation of literacy corners in schools. It aims to make it easier for students to carry out literacy activities. It is important to familiarize yourself with these activities because they will have various positive impacts. The purpose of this research are; 1) describe the implementation of the literacy corner in improving students' critical thinking, 2) describe the results of the implementation of the literacy corner in increasing students' critical thinking, 3) understand the supporting and inhibiting factors of the literacy corner in increasing students' critical thinking. This study uses a qualitative method of case study type. Research data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation obtained from the field. The research data sources consist of primary data obtained from observations, interviews with school principals, teachers, and students, as well as observations. Furthermore, data was collected, summarized, compiled, concluded, and analyzed by triangulation test. The results of this study indicate that 1) the implementation of the literacy corner at SD N Tosanan, Kauman, Ponorogo consists of three stages, namely a) preparation such as preparing components and infrastructure such as books, tables, shelves, etc., b) implementation, namely the utilization of the literacy corner to support literacy activities in class and increase students' critical thinking, c) evaluations are carried out by holding meetings at the beginning and end of each semester, 2) the results of the implementation of the literacy corner at the school are used to support the role of the library, the main source of literacy activities, learning support, and improve students' critical thinking, 3) the factors that influence the implementation of the literacy corner at the school consist of a) the supporting factors for implementing the literacy corner include the obligation of literacy activities by the Ministry of Education and Culture, teacher creativity, student enthusiasm, and support from various parties and b) the inhibiting factors are consistency in its use, class conditions, and students' literacy skills.
