Abstract

Abstract The growth of vehicle sales, especially two wheels, is increasing. Motorcycle bicycles have become a basic need for many people to support their immobility activities. Engine performance is adequate also is needed for the effectiveness and comfort of driving. However, for now, the measurement of engine performance is not always seen only from the power of from torque alone, but also the consumption of fuel and environmentally friendly exhaust gas emissions is also a separate calculation. To overcome this, one way to do is to change the timing ignition, especially on 110 cc beat fi motorcycles, with the advancement of timing ignition through 3 variations of research, namely 14o, 18o, 22o also conducting research on the mixture of Pertamax fuel (50%) and pertalite (50%) and pure Pertamax. In this study, power, torque, and exhaust emissions were produced better than existing vehicle standards by changing the ignition timing. The standard ignition test results obtained the best torque, namely on Pertamax fuel with the highest power of 7 Hp at 4048 rpm with a torque of 18.41 Nm at 2433 rpm while for the best ignition variation, namely when ignition is 14o and 18o on Pertamax fuel with a power of 7.6 Hp at 4221 rpm and 4155 rpm with a torque of 19.11 Nm at 2523 rpm and 19.06 Nm at 2521 rpm. The best exhaust emissions are at ignition 14o with CO=2.39%, CO2=3.3% and O2=21.52%, while for the standard CO=2.24%, CO2=3.4% and O2= 24.26%.
