Abstract

ABSTRAC This study aims to determine Quality Motivation, Career Motivation, Economic Motivation and Degree Motivation on Interests of Accounting Students to Participate in Professional Accounting Education (PPAk) at the University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The technique uses proportionate stratified random sampling method. The type of data used is primary data, using the slovin formula obtained a sample of 181 students. The data collection method was by distributing questionnaires, while the data analysis method used was multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS vs 26. The results of the research on the first hypothesis show that Quality Motivation has a significant positive effect on the interest of accounting students to take PPAk. This can be interpreted that the greater the quality motivation, the interest of students to take part in PPAk will also increase. The results of the research on the second hypothesis show that Career Motivation has a significant positive effect on the interest of accounting students to take part in PPAk. This can be interpreted that the greater the career motivation, the interest of students to take part in PPAk will also increase. The results of the research on the third hypothesis show that Economic Motivation has a significant positive effect on the interest of accounting students to take PPAk. This can be interpreted that the greater the economic motivation, the interest of students to take part in PPAk will also increase. The results of the research on the fourth hypothesis show that Degree Motivation has a significant positive effect on the interest of accounting students to take PPAk. This can be interpreted that the greater the degree of motivation, the interest of students to take part in PPAk will also increase. The results of the research on testing the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.651 or 65.1%. This means that the dependent variable or interest in accounting students (Y) is influenced by variations from the independent variables, namely, quality motivation (X1), career motivation (X2), economic motivation (X3), and degree motivation (X4) of 65.1%. .
