Abstract

The District Government of Magetan has been successful in implementing innovative policies, programs and activities in the fields of development infrastructure, education, economy, social, culture and health. In achieving this success, there was the participation of various stakeholders including the media and members of the press in reviving the spirit of life for the people of Magetan. It is the synergy of the media and/or members of the press that needs to be appreciated through the Media Award. This award is intended to encourage the presence of quality and quality journalism, as well as to encourage quality journalism and have a positive impact on the wider community. The evaluation criteria are based on good journalistic standards and meet professional ethics, namely understanding journalistic ethical codes, level of plagiarism, ability and activeness in making journalistic works, journalistic language and mastery in the field of coverage. Therefore we need a Decision Support System (DSS) that is able to take into account all the supporting criteria to assist and facilitate decision making. The method chosen is a combination of the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method and Multi Objective Optimization On The Basis Of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) so that it is expected to help determine the best journalists accurately and objectively. In this study, the results obtained were the convenience of decision makers, especially for the Magetan Regency Communication and Information Service based on the value of the final result of the calculation. The combination of the ROC and MOORA methods applied in this application gives the best decision from several alternatives, where the best alternative is alternative A4 on behalf of "Miftakhul Arif Widiyanto" with a value of Yi = 0.1304.
