Abstract

This research is designed to implement a forward chaining algorithm in the form of an expert system that is useful for helping treat lovebird diseases, especially for novice lovebird breeders. The expert system in this study is designed on a web basis so that users can easily access and use it. This research takes the object of lovebird which is one of the birds that is still in great demand by the public, especially for breeding because it has economic value and can become an economic loss if the bird dies. The research method used in this study starts from data collection, needs analysis, design, testing, documentation and maintenance. The system design in this study is based on ESDLC (Expert System Development Life Cycle) software engineering using the Knowledge Acquisition expert system development method and also the Forward Chaining supporting method by taking an approach to seeking input information from users. Then a conclusion is obtained in the form of a diagnosis of a particular problem accompanied by a solution that will be used for decision making. So that with this system that will be designed, it is hoped that it can help lovebird breeders understand diseases in lovebirds quickly and easily so that breeders can carry out appropriate disease management. From the problems discussed earlier, this research will design an expert system entitled "Implementation of Forward Chaining in Handling Lovebird Diseases".
