Abstract
The aims and focus of this research were (1) to find out the activities of the Salimah community in increasing the religiosity of the people of Purworejo hamlet, Watualang Ngawi village. (2) To find out the strategy of the Salimah community in increasing the religiosity of the people of Purworejo hamlet, Watualang Ngawi village. (4) to find out the implications of the activities carried out by the Salimah community in increasing the religiosity of the people of Purworejo hamlet, Watualang Ngawi village. which in the hamlet are still common and rarely have religious activities before. This study used a qualitative research method, namely by collecting data and information, in the form of documenting the activities carried out by the Salimah community activities, the researcher also conducted interviews with the head of the Ngawi sub-district community who is also the head of the Purworejo Taklim Assembly activities, interviews with the head of the Salimah community branch Watualang village, as well as members of the Taklim Assembly who are related to the issues to be studied. The researcher also made direct observations and participated in a series of Taklim Assembly activities. Researchers used a series of qualitative methods, namely by searching data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that (1) the religious activities of the people of Purworejo Hamlet, Watualang Ngawi Village, included: taklim assembly activities, Friday blessing activities, social activities, and funeral practice activities. (2) The strategy used by the Salimah community in increasing religiosity is by using a rational and sentimental strategy with a door-to-door da'wah approach and the da'wah method which is carried out using lectures and questions and answers. (3) The implications of the activities held by the Salimah community in increasing the religiosity of the people of Dusun Purworejo are based on five aspects of religiosity, namely ideology, worship, appreciation, knowledge, and practice. This is manifested by changes in lifestyle, namely that people are more diligent in worship, participating in studies, diligent in giving alms, cooperation, maintaining friendship, and tolerance, and hearts are peaceful and serene.
