Abstract
Catfish are fish that are classified as nocturnal animals that can live in public waters and are more active at night to find food. Catfish are widely cultivated because they have good adaptation to the environment. Feed is one of the elements that greatly influences the activities of catfish farmers. The feed that will be used by farmers is adapted to catfish in order to meet the nutritional needs of fish and increase the growth of fish seeds until they are ready for sale. The process of providing feed still uses a manual method, namely by taking it from a bucket with a system of estimating the feed dosage and then distributing it in the middle of the fish pond according to the schedule. The system used by these farmers takes a long time and can only be used in cages and small ponds. However, if farmers have many ponds, they will definitely experience delays in feeding, and cannibalism will occur in the ponds, this will result in a reduction in the number of fish. Based on that, the authors are interested in making a catfish feeder that is age-appropriate and can monitor the PH of the water. This tool is designed to use a load cell sensor as a feed weigher, a pH sensor to determine pH levels in the pond, an RTC DS1307 module as a timer, an ESP 32 as a communication bridge for the tool with Telegram, and Telegram as the control tool. This automatic feeding system can provide catfish feed according to age and can be monitored using a telegram. This system is expected to reduce fish mortality rates due to uncontrolled water pH and catfish cannibalism caused by delays in feeding.
