Abstract

This thesis is entitled "IMPLEMENTATION OF JOURNALISTIC CODE OF ETHICS IN RADARMADIUN.JAWAPOS.COM CRIMINAL REPORTING (Edition 1 October 2022 - 31 January 2023)". This research will discuss the implementation of the journalistic code of ethics in the news. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research methodology with primary and secondary data. As a theoretical basis for thinking, the data is then analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. This research is a qualitative descriptive method to obtain research results as data that describe the problem under study. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the journalistic code of ethics is a very important key in the world of journalism. Because a person who has a profession as a journalist is obliged to make the journalistic code of ethics as a guideline. In the press, journalists have the freedom to seek, possess and publish information. But the reality is that currently many journalists violate the rules of the Journalism Law on the Code of Ethics for Broadcast Journalists. Some journalists who provide information that does not match the facts on the ground are on the other side. That way this is where we know what rules are in the journalistic code of ethics and what freedoms are in these rules and how we obey them. Keywords: Code of Ethics, Journalism, News.
