Abstract

Weirs are infrastructure used to control water discharge and as a place to store water. The part of the weir that has an important function in controlling water discharge is a sluice gate. Sluice gate operation mostly done manually by the operator by turning the lever to open or close. Methods used in design The device includes hardware and software design. Planning hardware is done by assembling components into a system and installed on a sluice frame made of iron. Device design The software uses Telegram bot as a platform for interaction between users with the device and uses C language to program on the device. This device uses a water level switch to measure water level, HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor as a water gate condition measurer, PLTS as the main energy source, and a voltage sensor as a voltage meter obtained by PLTS. Data obtained from several sensor components will processed and sent by the ESP32 microcontroller via the Telegram application to user. The result of this research is that the device is able to collect data from sensors in real-time and send to the operator via telegram with response time is approximately 10 seconds if there is an internet connection Good. The device's mechanical system can be controlled manually or automatically to open and close the sluice gate which is controlled by using telegram. The PLTS system is able to work by collecting solar energy and convert it into electrical energy with a maximum voltage reached 23.99 volts.
