Abstract
SMAN 1 Badegan, a high school in Ponorogo Regency, has not fully implemented the following five rules: Consulting on Faculty Selection Manually where Students who want to discuss the selection of the faculty they want still carry out this process only through conversation with the teacher, Manual Information Submission Process: Submission of information regarding available faculty options is done manually, so students cannot access this information quickly, at any time and from anywhere. Faculty Recommendation Process Based on School Data without considering the individual interest data of the students concerned. Teachers have difficulty in giving advice because students have different characteristics and interests. This decision support system uses the Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MSDM) Model. The choice of the AHP method was decided because this method is able to describe complex problems with multi factors or multi criteria into a hierarchical structure. In this system, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used which will help students determine faculties that suit their talents and interests. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method makes it easier for users to choose faculties by solving problems that have many objectives and criteria. This system applies eight criteria and three alternative choices based on a survey from third grade students at SMAN 1 Badegan. This decision support system, which is designed to help select faculty, is divided into two phases: first, data management only with AHP, and second, data processing with a combination of AHP and psychological tests. If users choose to use AHP alone, they must enter their preferred faculty and create a comparison matrix of alternatives based on the preferences provided by the system. However, if you choose a combination of AHP and psychological tests, users must input psychological test scores to get recommendations for appropriate majors.
