Abstract
Lecture scheduling plays an important role in ensuring the smooth learning process in the lecture environment. This research aims to solve problems in scheduling lectures at the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University by using the Genetic Algorithm method and developing a website-based application. The current lecture scheduling system faces challenges such as clashes of lecturer and classroom schedules, as well as schedule irregularities. In this research, Genetic Algorithm was chosen due to its ability to handle complex problems and find optimal solutions. The development of a web-based application with the Codeigniter Framework will minimize manual efforts in the scheduling process. With the implementation of this solution, it is expected that the efficiency and effectiveness of scheduling lectures can increase, so that the problem of schedule clashes can be overcome. This research focuses on the Islamic Education Study Program as a case study, with the aim of producing a better lecture scheduling system through the application of Genetic Algorithms and the development of web-based applications
