Abstract

Patient satisfaction with perioperative services is influenced by many factors. The quality of the service provided is good, so patients will feel satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing services and the level of patient satisfaction in the operating room at RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approachcross sectional. The study population was all post-operative patients with non-GA qualifications(General Anesthesia) in the recovery room at RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo in September – November 2023, a total of 523 patients. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling The research sample consisted of 84 post-operative patients. Data collection uses questionnaires. The results of this research show that of the 84 respondents studied regarding service quality and level of satisfaction, 69 respondents (82.1%)expressed the quality of nursing services and were satisfied, whereas 15 respondents were not good and were dissatisfied,. Data analysis techniques using Fisher Exact Test with results obtained p value = 0.000 which means reject H0, thus it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the quality of nursing services and the level of patient satisfaction in the operating room at RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Involvement in this research can help hospital managers to improve the quality of nursing services by focusing on the aspects that most influence patient satisfaction in the operating room. Therefore, increased training, more effective interpersonal communication, and increased nurse responsiveness can be strategic steps in increasing patient satisfaction in the surgical care environment.
