Tesis, Progam Pascasarjana Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Pembimbing: (1) Dr.Happy Susanto, M.A, (2) Dr. Bambang Harmanto, M.Pd. Keyword: parental, socioeconomic,education. Education is an individual obligation that is highly emphasized in Islamic teachings, and the state is obliged to be present to fulfill the education of its citizens. Educational success is not only determined by the government, but many factors can support educational success. This study investigates the influence of parental socioeconomic status on students' academic achievement. By analyzing data from various economic backgrounds, the research found a significant correlation between parental socioeconomic status and students' academic performance. Students from higher socioeconomic status families tend to achieve higher academic performance compared to those from lower socioeconomic status families. Additionally, factors such as access to additional educational resources and family support also play a significant role in determining students' academic achievement. These findings highlight the importance of educational equity and suggest the need for interventions to reduce educational disparities stemming from differences in parental socioeconomic status. The socio-economic status of parents has an influence on students' educational success, the better the educational facilities, the greater the opportunity for success and vice versa. However, educational supporting facilities are not the only determinant of educational success. ABSTRAK Pendidikan merupakan kewajiban individu yang sangat ditekankan di dalam Ajaran Islam, dan negara berkewajiban hadir untuk memenuhi pendidikan warganya. Keberhasilan pendidikan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh pemerintah, namun banyak faktor yang dapat menjadi penunjang keberhasilan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. Dengan menganalisis data dari berbagai latar belakang ekonomi, penelitian ini menemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi orang tua dan prestasi akademik siswa. Siswa yang berasal dari keluarga dengan status sosial ekonomi yang lebih tinggi cenderung mencapai prestasi akademik yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang berasal dari keluarga dengan status sosial ekonomi yang lebih rendah. Selain itu, faktor-faktor seperti akses terhadap sumber daya pendidikan tambahan dan dukungan keluarga juga memainkan peran penting dalam menentukan prestasi akademik siswa. Temuan-temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya kesetaraan pendidikan dan menyarankan perlunya intervensi untuk mengurangi kesenjangan pendidikan yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan status sosial ekonomi orang tua. Status sosial ekonomi orang tua mempunyai pengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pendidikan peserta didik, semakin baik fasilitas pendidikan maka peluang untuk berhasil semakin besar dan sebaliknya. Namun fasilitas penunjang pendidikan bukanlah satu-satunya penentu keberhasilan pendidikan. Katakunci: orang tua, sosial ekonomi, pendidikan.
