Abstract

ABSTRACT NURSING CARE FOR SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC LOW SELF-ESTEEM NURSING PROBLEMS (In the Srikandi room at RSJD Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta in 2024) By: Jasinta Anis Ratnawati NIM: 21613414 Chronic low self-esteem is when a person continually views himself with negative feelings, feelings of uselessness, worthlessness, and helplessness. Problems such as social isolation, sensory perception hallucinations, risk of violent behavior, and violent behavior will arise if these problems are not treated immediately. The aim of this case study is to implement nursing care for schizophrenic patients with chronic low self-esteem nursing problems. This scientific paper was prepared using a case study which takes an approach to the nursing process starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The results of the assessment showed that the patient felt inferior, felt useless and worthless, and felt embarrassed because he was a widow. The results of the assessment showed a nursing diagnosis of chronic low self-esteem and there was no difference with theory. Over the course of four days, nursing actions build the patient's trust with the nurse. The final evaluation results can be achieved in accordance with the targets and criteria by proving that the patient is able to carry out activities in accordance with the positive abilities they have, such as folding clothes, making the bed, and reciting the Koran, sometimes with the help of a nurse according to schedule, self-assessment becomes positive, body posture is not Look down, make eye contact. It is hoped that this nursing care will increase the patient's self-esteem, making him more productive and more confident.
