Abstract

ABSTRACT NURSING CARE IN DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS WITH NURSING PROBLEMS COMFORTABLE DISORDERS (In Mawar Room, dr.Harjono Hospital Of Ponorogo) By : Alfina Nurjanah Nim. 21613418 Disorders of comfort are feeling of lack of pleasure, relief and perfection in the physical, psychospiritual, environmental and social dimensions. Ganggaun sense of comfort in patients with diabetes mellitus has signs of symptoms, namely disease symptoms characterized by feeling itchy and hot in gangrene wounds which trigger discomfort and interfere with their psychology. The purpose of this case study is to determine nursing care for patients with diabetes mellitus with problems of discomfort. Nursing care for patients with diabetes mellitus with problem of discomfort was carried out in the rose room of Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Hospital for 3 days on 25-27April 2024. The method used is the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and nursing evaluation. The results of the assessment found that the patient body was still weak, lethargic, and the patient felt uncomfortable on the sole of the right foot because it felt itchy and hot in the gangrene wound. The patient looked restless, showed symptoms of distress, irritability, looked moody, sullen, and whimpered tilting to the right and left. From this analysis, a diagnosis of discomfort related to disease symptoms was obtained, characterized by feeling itchy and hot in the gangrene wound. Therefore, the intervention of deep breath relaxation therapy is carried out by providing health education about deep breath relaxation therapy to reduce heat and itching on the right leg where there is a wound.
