Abstract

The risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction is defined as a condition where the patient is at risk of experiencing impaired blood circulation, sensation and movement of the extremities. The importance of efforts to reduce the risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction is to minimize injury or discomfort to clients who experience changes in sensation. This case study aims to provide nursing care to elderly people who experience immobilization disorders with nursing problems at risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction. Nursing care for elderly people experiencing immobilization disorders with nursing problems at risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction was carried out at UPT PSTW Magetan for 4 days on 9-12 February 2024. The method used was a nursing process approach starting from assessment to evaluation. The results of the study in this scientific paper showed that the client Mrs. S sometimes has tingling, cannot bend and is stiff in the calf and sole of the right and left foot. Nursing actions taken include peripheral sensation management and warm compresses. Nursing care for the elderly who experience immobilization disorders with nursing problems at risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction is expected to be an illustration for nurses, especially in handling patients who experience the risk of peripheral neurovascular dysfunction with peripheral sensation management measures and warm compresses.
