Abstract

Sensory perception disorders, visual hallucinations are hallucinations that involve the sense of sight, as if seeing an object but in fact the object does not exist. The aim of this case study is to provide nursing care to schizophrenic patients with nursing problems of sensory perception disorders: visual hallucinations through a nursing process approach. Nursing care for schizophrenic patients with nursing problems of sensory perception disorders: visual hallucinations is provided in the Nakula room at RSJD Dr. Arif Zainuddin Surakarta for 4 days in January 2024. The method used is the nursing process approach. From the results of the study, the nursing problem of visual hallucinations was obtained. Clients are given intervention from NIC NOC and SIKI for 4 days. The implementation given to clients is implementation strategies (SP) 1 to 4, namely rebuking hallucinations, taking medication regularly, having conversations, scheduled activities and intervention from SIKI with the distraction technique of deep breathing. Clients with hallucinations need good therapeutic communication. In providing nursing care, the role of nurses and family support is very necessary for the client's healing process.
