Abstract
The efforts of the village government in empowering the community through woven bag training, particularly in remote areas, require continuous training, guidance, and marketing support. Government initiatives in marketing woven bags can be an effective strategy for enhancing local income and economic independence. This research aims to examine the efforts of the village government in empowering the community through woven bag training in Campursari Village, Sambit District, Ponorogo Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach, using data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis involving data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Campursari Village in Ponorogo Regency demonstrates potential in community empowerment through the woven bag training program organized by the village government. This program, utilizing a Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of IDR 40,974,500, aims to improve community well-being and economic independence by including skill training, education, local economic development, and infrastructure enhancement. Of this budget, IDR 8,000,000 is specifically allocated for training Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) to enhance the skills and capabilities of village entrepreneurs. While some participants experience significant benefits from this training, others are dissatisfied due to poorly structured teaching methods and perceived inadequate government support. Therefore, evaluation and improvement in teaching methods and government support are crucial for increasing the effectiveness of the training.
