Abstract

JASMINE FIRDAUSYI KUSSURANINGTYAS. 20710134, Implementation of ITE Law in the Era of Globalization Regarding Legal Protection for Victims of Sexual Harassment in Cyberspace This research analyzes the implementation of the Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) Law and Law in providing legal protection for victims of sexual harassment in cyberspace. The focus of this research includes identifying the factors that cause sexual harassment in cyberspace, various forms of sexual harassment that occur online, as well as reviewing the laws and regulations relevant to the case. In addition, this research examines how the application of these laws and regulations can provide effective legal protection for victims. This research is empirical research, which was carried out through direct data collection in the field to answer research questions regarding the effectiveness of the implementation of the ITE Law and Law in society, especially in protecting victims of sexual harassment in cyberspace. Primary data was obtained from field observations and interviews, while secondary data included studies of the ITE Law, Draft Law on Sexual Violence Crimes (RUU TPKS), literature, journals and information from the internet. The research results show that although the ITE Law and related laws have been implemented in society, their implementation has not been effective and does not reach all levels of society, including victims of sexual harassment in cyberspace. The expected legal protection has not yet functioned optimally. This emphasizes the need for stricter regulations and more efficient implementation by law enforcement officials and victim protection institutions, to ensure that cases of sexual harassment in cyberspace do not become a common phenomenon in this era of digitalization.
