Abstract
ABSTRACT Economic growth is an important indicator in the economy of a region because it is directly related to improving the quality of human resources and economic development. This research aims to analyze by highlighting the factors that influence and inhibit economic growth, namely the influence of the Labor Force Participation Level (TPAK), Open Unemployment Rate, and Poverty on Economic Growth in East Java Province. This research is quantitative research with secondary data in the form of time series starting from 2008-2022 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java Province. Use of data analysis methods with classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis with hypothesis testing using the t test, F test, coefficient of determination (R2) and correlation coefficient (R) with SPSS software. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the independent variables (TPAK, unemployment and poverty) together are only able to explain 3.7% of the variation in economic growth, as shown by the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.037. Apart from that, the results of the t test show that unemployment and poverty levels do not have a significant influence on economic growth, with t-calculated values of -0.108 and -0.115 respectively at an error level of 5%, so it can be concluded: (1) Participation Level Labor Force (TPAK) within a 5% error rate partially has no effect on Economic Growth in East Java Province, (2) Open Unemployment Rate within a 5% error rate partially has no effect on Economic Growth in East Java Province, (3) Poverty in The 5% error level partially has no effect on Economic Growth in East Java Province, and (4) the Labor Force Participation Level (TPAK), Open Unemployment Rate, and Poverty within the 5% error level simultaneously influences Economic Growth in East Java Province .
