Abstract
Problems regarding economic development are still a challenge and obstacle in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. This can be seen in the many components in the economy, including the large number of unemployed. This problem is useful in the economy because unemployment is an indication for measuring the magnitude of economic development. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the number of labor force, inflation, wages and average length of schooling on unemployment in Indonesia. Including quantitative research with secondary data in the form of time series starting from 2008-2022 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The method used to analyze the data is the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis with hypothesis testing using the t test, F test, coefficient of determination (R²) and correlation coefficient (R) with SPSS software. The results of the research that has been carried out show that: (1) The number of Labor Forces at the 5% error level has no effect on Unemployment in Indonesia, (2) Inflation at the 5% error level has no effect on Unemployment in Indonesia, (3) Wages at the 5% error level % has no effect on Unemployment in Indonesia, (4) Average Years of Schooling at an error level of 5% has no effect on Unemployment in Indonesia, (5) Number of Labor Force, Inflation, Wages, and Average Years of Schooling simultaneously have an effect on Unemployment in Indonesia.
