Abstract

The process of scholarship acceptance often burdens campus administrative staff due to its lengthy procedures and the need to match a large amount of data from applicants. Moreover, the selection of scholarship recipients is done manually using Microsoft Excel, which is prone to errors and subjectivity. To assist in making the selection process more credible and efficient, a system that can quickly and efficiently select scholarship applicants is necessary. This study was conducted to help administrative staff at the Sunan Giri Ponorogo Institute of Islamic Studies in handling the still conventional scholarship selection process by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) algorithm. Data collection was carried out through interviews, field studies, and literature reviews. The criteria used in this study include: active students in semesters 4-6, event winners, a minimum GPA of 3.5, and not having received a scholarship previously. The implementation of the AHP algorithm was done by developing a web application using PHP and JavaScript. The system testing results showed good outcomes with the automatic determination of rankings.
