Abstract
Almost citizen don’t understand about the meaning of democracy as rule and law. They understand and assume the democracy is a freedom. The students as citizen necessary given good understanding and capacity for the actualy democracy in citizen area. By Civic Education, it can solve problem, now days. Civic Education that concludes of the Civic Competences is not only discussing knowledge but also it emphasizes of the citizen’s characters especially for students in Indonesia. The purposes of the research were to describe and analyze the influences of Civic Education as the developing of Civic Competences at the ninth grade students of SMP N 1 Bungkal. In this research, the researcher used quantitive approach by using analytic descriptive method with survey technic and was operated by differetial statistics. The population of this research were the students at the ninth grade of SMP Negeri 1 Bungkal in Academic Year 2013/2014 that the total were 186 students. The research sampling consisted of 70 students that took with random sampling technic. Data analyse used multiple linier regression analyse, test T, test F, and determinate coefisient (R Square) and used program IBM SPSS Statistics 22 for Windows Release. The result of data got from the result of the T test and every variable got To variable X1 = 2,511, X2 = 2,782, and X3 = 2,687 > Tt = 1,996. It meant that every components of civic competence influences the students’ democracy, significantly. The result of test F was gotten from Fo > Ft (10,180 > 2,74). It meant that components of civic competence influences overwhelm the student’s democracy, significantly. While for R Square value produce 0,316 or 311,6%. The conclusion of this research are ; First,every components of civic competence influences the student’s democracy, significantly. Second,components of civic competence influences overwhelm of 31,6% toward student’s democracy, and the rest is influenced by other factors unresearch. Third, civic competence influence the student’s democracy, dominantly. Key Words: Civic Education, Civic Competences, Democracy Life.
