Abstract

Curriculum is a set of plan and rules that continued for practical and for theory. Also, a curriculum must-have for mentally and physically development for preparing the students of the skills needed that appropriate to the school level, student ability, school facilities. Another explanation curriculum is a set of plan and rules about aim, content, and lesson material, along with a way that is used as a directive of activity implementation of learning for achieving the purpose of education. Today Indonesia education uses 2013 curriculum so that the lesson plan must be developed on that. Lesson plan is a teacher-guided detailed description of the course of instruction for an individual lesson or a teacher’s document used to plan a lesson. Lesson plan is arrange by teacher, and developed based on government. The aim of this research is 1) identify lesson plan of eight grade it is the same whether with principle of 2013 curriculum, 2) to analyze the classroom learning whether same steps with step learning written on lesson plan,3) to find out the teacher problems of the implementationin the class when teaching English . This research was held on SMPN 4 Ponorogo ,JlJendralsudirman No. 92 Krajan ,Kepatihan, Ponorogo. The research is qualitative research especially case study. Research used observation, interview, and questionnaire as the data collection technique. To analyze data, the steps used were, display the data, the last was drawing conclusion. Based on finding, the teacher at SMPN 4 Ponorogo used same form but different strategy how they implemented at classroom. Also the lesson plan is appropriate with 2013 curriculum principle: also classroom learning is same with step by step from opening, main activity, and closing. Finally, the researcher proposed suggestion to the teacher to more used creative learning for example using games another reason especially English is foreign language so it still hard to learn it. Beside of fun games and another activity with development of technology it can use for learn English easily.
