Abstract

Abstract Pertiwi Ponorogo Special School for Retardation (SLB-C) is a social institution that provides services to Children with Special Needs (ABK) with intellectual disabilities and fosters the morals of students so that they become smart, noble, have faith and piety and are useful for the nation and religion . This moral development is an important education and needs to be applied to children, without exception for students with mental retardation. It is hoped that moral development can become a strong foundation in forming a qualified and responsible national personality. This research was conducted with the aim of: to see the material related to mental development of mentally retarded students through the values of Islamic education at SLB-C Pertiwi Ponorogo, the implementation of Islamic education values in moral development for mentally retarded students, supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing values Islamic education in developing the morals of mentally retarded students. This research uses a qualitative approach (Qualitative Research), and the data collection is done by interviewing, observing and documenting methods, all of which are used to answer the implementation of Islamic education values in moral development for mentally retarded students. The results of this study are concluded as follows: 1) Implementation of Islamic Education Values in Moral Development for mentally retarded students at the Pertiwi Ponorogo Special School (SLB-C) through learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and activities related to Islam . 2) Factors that support the implementation of Islamic education values in the moral development of mentally retarded students, namely the existence of adequate infrastructure, cooperation between principals and teachers, and motivation of parents and teachers. While the inhibiting factor is the personality of students as people with disabilities, some parents are less attentive, and students prefer to play gadgets than study.
