Abstract
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) is an acute inflammation of the upper and lower respiratory tract caused by infection with microorganisms or bacteria, viruses, or rickettsia, without or with inflammation of the lung parenchyma (Alsagaff and Mukty, 2006) while the factors that can influence is the Behavior response or no response to the stimulus, while the response is a function that depends on the stimulus and the individual (Wood worth & Schlosberg, 1971 behavior is an action or actions that can be observed even organisms can be studied. purpose of this research is to study the behavior of the mother in prevention and Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) in children under five in the Village Bedoho Sooko Ponorogo. This study used a descriptive design, where the population of all mothers with young children in the village Bedoho Sooko, with a sample of 56 respondents and using total sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire instrument is then analyzed using T-scores. From the analysis of 56 respondents, Mom Behavior in the Prevention and Control of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) on Toddler Village Bedoho Sooko Ponorogo that most (59%) or 33 of the respondents had a negative attitude. While nearly half (41%) or 23 of the respondents have a positive attitude. Mother behavior in the Prevention and Management of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in the Village Toddler Bedoho Sooko Ponorogo negative behaviors that can be categorized or 33 respondents (59%). The results of this study are recommended for further research on the relationship between knowledge and behavior in the Family Prevention and Control of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection in Cild.
