Abstract
Development of Multicultural Learning Models Integrated Citizenship Subjects At University. The purpose of this study is to develop a multicultural learning model that is integrated with citizenship courses. This study is a follow-up study of multicultural education analysis in tertiary institutions and is a grand design of advanced research for the validation and dissemination of the application of multicultural learning models in tertiary institutions. The method used in this research uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach through two stages of research. The first stage is concentrated on the need assessment to determine which classes are conducive to the development of multicultural learning. The second stage is concentrated on model validation and testing multicultural learning models through citizenship courses. Data collection techniques used were a questionnaire, observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use more descriptive techniques. The results showed that: 1) the development of an integrated multicultural learning model of citizenship courses with two material insights on nationalism and civil society with the concept of the main elements; a) Content Integration; b) Knowledge Construction; c) An Equity Pedagogy; d) Prejudice Reduction; e) An Empowering School Culture; 2) 80% of respondents said the application of multicultural learning models made it easy for students to accept the meaning of learning in civil society material and archipelago insight, and 91.17% of student test results passed the minimum criteria limit.
