Abstract

Abstrack This study aims to determine the percentage level of students' metacognitive ability in solving statistical problems based on Swartz & Perkins theory. The method used is a survey method with a quantitative approach to determine the percentage of students' metacognitive abilities based on Swartz & Perkins theory. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Babadan with a sample of 24 people who were determined by simple random sampling. Data was collected through tests and interviews. Based on the results of research conducted there are 4 students who have metacognitive ability level 1 (Tacit use) with a percentage of 16.67%. Metacognitive ability level 2 (Aware Use) amounted to 11 students or 45.83%. For metacognitive ability level 3 (Strategic use) amounted to 5 students or 20.83%. And for metacognitive ability level 4 (Reflective Use) totaling 4 students or 16.67%. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat kemampuan metakognitif siswa dalam menyelesaiakan soal statistika berdasarkan teori Swartz & Perkins. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menentukan persentase kemampuan metakognitif siswa berdasarkan teori Swartz & Perkins. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Babadan dengan sampel 24 orang yang ditentukan dengan cara simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terdapat 4 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan metakognitif tingkat 1 (Tacit use) dengan persentase 16,67 %. Kemampuan metakognitif tingkat 2 (Aware Use) berjumlah 11 siswa atau 45,83 %. Untuk kemampuan metakognitif tingkat 3 (Strategic use) berjumlah 5 siswa atau 20,83 %. Serta untuk kemampuan metakognitif tingkat 4 (Reflective Use) berjumlah 4 siswa atau 16,67 %.
