ABSTRACT Ninik Mutiah. 2021. Concept of Moral Education KH. Ahmad Dahlan And Its Relevance to Strengthening Character Education in Indonesia. This thesis is not published. Islamic Religious Education Study Program. Postgraduate Program of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University. Advisor (I) Dr. Happy Susanto, M.A., Supervisor (II) Anip Dwi Saputro, M.Pd. The occurrence of various social problems, especially in the education space, especially moral issues that have an impact on the formation of the nation's character is a separate problem. This requires a separate study in overcoming these problems. The purpose of the research was to know the concept of moral education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and to know the relevance of the concept of moral education KH. Ahmad Dahlan for Strengthening Character Education in Indonesia. Especially the five main values of character are relegius, independent, nationalist, mutual and integrity. This research is qualitative research type of library research, which produces data in the form of written words from the data source analyzed. The data source of this study is in the form of primary sources and secondary data sources in the form of books and other papers that are directly or indirectly related to the concept of moral education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan. Data collection techniques through the study of library documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis method. The results of this study showed that: 1) the concept of moral education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is found in seven philosophies and various teachings and his messages have a strong relevance to strengthening character education in Indonesia with elements of character education, namely the value of religious character, independent, gotong-royong, nationalist, and integrity, 2) the concept of moral education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan can support the Character Education Strengthening program (PPK) launched by the government, so as to create effective character education. This study concludes that the concept of character education according to KH. Ahmad Dahlan is right and wrong, good and bad in moral education is determined correctly by law, according to the Qur'an and Hadith, it is legal and sacred. Suggestions from this research should be that the concept of moral education can be actualized in everyday life on an ongoing basis. Keywords: Concept, Moral Education, Character.
