Abstract

Postpaid KWHMeter with a dual-sensing system is very sensitive to dual sensings. One of the causes of the dual sensing that appears is from the installation of the customer's installation grounding that is not following the PUIL 2011 instructions so that it affects the amount of the customer's billing account every month. This study aims to determine the effect of the customer's installation grounding on the measurement deviation of the postpaid KWHmeter with a dual-sensing system. The method used is by measuring voltage, leakage current, tamper indicator condition, instantaneous power, daily energy, and average customer usage. Measurements were made before and after changes to the customer's installation's grounding and the customer's average electricity consumption for a total of 6 months. By making changes to the grounding of the customer's installation, it is known that the tamper indicator light that is on has decreased by 80%. The voltage decreased by an average of 9.93 V or 4.52%. The leakage current decreased by an average of 0.924 A or 97.37%. The rated instantaneous power decreased by 0.19kW or equivalent to 100%. The average daily energy consumption was recorded to decrease by 4.41 kW or equivalent to 97.75%. Meanwhile, the average customer usage decreased by 80.73 kWH, equivalent to 32.59%. And the measurement dual sensing on the KWHmeter occurs in 100% of the total sample. The customer's installation grounding affects the 1-phase postpaid KWHmeter dual sensing with a dual-sensing system and all losses are borne by the customer.
