Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Analysis of Journalistic Language on Criminal News in Online Media Kanalindonesia.com February 2022 Edition". The purpose of this study is to determine the use of journalistic language in criminal news specifically cases of theft in the online media Kanalindonesia.com, in writing news journalists often violate or do not pay attention to the characteristics of journalistic language, journalists are often seen as eyes in writing news such as origins. perfunctory. The phenomenon that often occurs is the existence of several types of writing or style of language such as exaggerating, sensational, bombastic, or hyperbolic language to attract the interest of readers so that they do not pay attention to the rules of journalistic language. The background of the problem taken is regarding the use of journalistic language used by journalists to convey information to audiences that have the characteristics or characteristics of simple, concise, solid, clear, clear and so on. Therefore the author wants to do research on the use of journalistic language in writing crime news. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The descriptive type the author uses as an illustration of the use of journalistic language on criminal news theft cases in the online media Kanalindonesia.com. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The author interviewed and examined directly the text of the crime news on the theft case in the online media of Kanalindonesia.com February 2022 edition. The results showed that the media journalists of canalindonesia.com in writing news could be said to have met the characteristics of journalistic language, but errors or inconsistencies were still found with the characteristics not short. , clear, grammatical, does not prioritize active sentences, poultic characteristics, and not straightforward.
