Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF BRANDING ACTIVITY IN SLAHUNG PONOROGO VILLAGE AS A CLAY GERABAH VILLAGE RONY ACHMAD SAPUTRO 18240687 This thesis is entitled to analyze the concept of branding identity in Plancungan Slahung Ponorogo village as a clay pottery village. The purpose of this research is to identify what the Plancungan Village Government does in making pottery as Plancungan Village Identity. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, sourced from direct interviews with Mr. Nuri Prasetyo, SE. as the head of Plancungan Village, Mrs. Indri Warwati as the head of the Plancungan Village pottery craftsman group, and Mrs. Surtini as the Plancungan pottery craftsman. The analysis process taken by the researcher uses the Brand Identity theory. The results of this study describe the role of the concept of branding identity that has been implemented by the Plancungan Village government in making pottery as Plancungan Village Identity, where the role of the local government holds an important key in this development such as the establishment of a pottery craftsman group as a forum for strengthening cooperation, training and coaching in making traditional Plancungan pottery, designing your own brand logo and registering it as a copyright of the Plancungan pottery craftsman, holding and participating in events held by the local government, collaborating with Kasongan pottery craftsmen in Bantul, optimizing pottery sales both online and offline , efforts to preserve the making of traditional pottery in the Plancungan village, both from the village government and local government and related agencies.
