Abstract

Cattle farming is one of the business activities with the aim of optimizing Indonesia's local natural resources, especially in terms of the availability of food to help improve the welfare of people's lives. The development of cowshed management is needed by utilizing technological innovations to improve business efficiency of cattle breeders. From the results of an interview with Mr. Edi who is one of the cattle breeders in Sambit Village, cleaning cow dung is a very tiring activity because it still uses a manual tool, namely a shovel. In addition to the large pile of cow dung waste in the stables, the smell of ammonia gas produced by cow dung can disturb the environment. Therefore, the author designed a Cow Manure Cleaning Tool in a Microcontroller-Based Cage. The results of the design of the tool can be concluded that the initial purpose of the design is to facilitate the work management process of farmers in cleaning manure and facilitate the utilization of cow dung waste both for biogas and organic fertilizer by selecting the cleaning mode on the blynk application which is controlled using Arduino Mega 2560 with Arduino software. The IDE and AC motor drive the cleaning equipment accompanied by a water pump to further facilitate the performance of the tool in cleaning cow dung to the dung reservoir.
