Abstract
This study uses framing analysis to determine how the news about the rain bender at the Mandalika MotoGP circuit was reported by the internet publications Okezone.com and Suara.com. Robert N. Entman's text framing analysis technique, which is broken down into 4 aspects of analysis—defining the problem, diagnosing the source, making a moral judgment, and making a therapy recommendation—is used by the researcher to examine the news in order to describe the issue. The findings of this study suggest that different news outlets have different ways of presenting the same subject or occurrence. The topic of discussion in the four news articles from Okezone.com and Suara.com that have been analyzed is the portrayal of Rain Bender's actions from a religious and cultural perspective. The two media, however, have different inclinations when it comes to presenting the action. Okezone.com usually reports favorable things regarding the action. Suara.com, on the other hand, is more critical in its reporting of the events. Keywords : Online Media, Framing, Robert N. Entman, News, The Rain Bender
