Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) either partially or simultaneously on stock returns. The population used in this study is the financial statements of BRI Life for 2014-2021 totaling 5 financial statements that have been audited in the fourth quarter of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. Financial statements in the form of balance sheets , income statement, cash flow and notes to financial statements. Data collection in this study used the saturated sample technique. Samples obtained in accordance with the specified criteria as many as 32 companies. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative using the statistical application of SPSS Version 26. The results of testing the first hypothesis in this study indicate that the current ratio has a significant and positive effect on stock returns. This means that the high and low current ratio (CR) affects stock returns. The second hypothesis in this study shows that the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a significant and positive effect on stock returns. The results of testing the third hypothesis indicate that Total Asset Turnover (TATO) has a significant and positive effect on stock returns. The results of the simultaneous test show that the research findings show that the independent variables (the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) have a significant and simultaneous effect on the dependent variable (stock returns). Coefficient of Determination test, it was found that the independent variables used in the study contributed 53.4% which could be seen from R square while the remaining 46.6% was influenced by variables outside the research variables..
