Abstract

A boarding house is a temporary lodging service provider with several rooms and several advantages of facilities provided by the owner of the boarding house. The monthly electricity bill for each boarding room is done by dividing the total cost of electricity consumption by the number of room occupants, this often creates a problem for those who feel that they do not use too much electricity so they feel disadvantaged. Meanwhile, there are boarding houses that apply a minimum rental system of 1 month at a certain price which includes facilities and electricity every month, there has been a charge-back due to electricity payments that exceed the estimated calculation and free electricity usage. This research is designed to produce a system that can monitor the use of electrical energy in boarding rooms remotely using the telegram application. This system is equipped with PZEM 004T sensor, nodemcu v3, LCD 16X2 and RTC DS3231. The design of this electrical energy monitoring tool has advantages, namely the system can detect the value of electricity use and the amount of fees to be paid, the system can provide information at the end of each month on the telegram application and the system can receive orders from each telegram application to request large data on electricity usage. The results of this monitoring system design have been able to work according to the way of working.
